A free health walk and workshop – for parents and guardians of primary school children
Our Wellness Walkshop is designed to help parents/guardians improve knowledge around healthy living, as well as increasing activity levels.
There are two ways the Wellness Walkshop runs: at school (face-to-face) and at home (virtual). Both will dive into the topics such as:
- the Eatwell Guide
- routines
- label reading
- triggers
At school
The workshop consists of 4 face-to-face sessions, each including a 45-minute walk and 45-minute discussion. There will also be opportunities to:
- measure blood pressure, baseline measurements and body composition
- explore local nature while building new connections with like minded people
- participate in fun activities to help educate children (and the family!) on healthy eating and diet
At home
The workshop consists of virtual sessions, each including a 1-hour presentation and discussion. You will be encouraged to complete your walk in your own time.
Which schools are participating?
Spaces on the programme are limited to 20 adults per school.
