Ingredients

You’ll need:

  • 80g rolled oats
  • 50g either rolled oats, rye flakes, puffed wheat or barley flakes
  • 50g small nut pieces like hazelnut, almonds or walnuts
  • 50g dried fruit like raisins, sultanas or other small pieces

Equipment

You’ll need:

  • Scales
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Instructions

Method:

  1. Put the mixing bowl on the weighing scales
  2. Pour in the ingredients one at a time into the mixing bowl
  3. Mix all of the ingredients around with the spatula so everything is evenly spread
  4. Keep it in an air tight storage container

TOP TIPS

  • Add seeds instead of nuts for any allergy sufferers
  • Toast the rolled oats beforehand in a dry frying pan being careful not to burn them
  • Add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg to give other flavours
  • Once measured out a portion, add yoghurt, fresh fruit and a little milk if too dry
