Northwood Primary School has invested key resources in their garden this year. In line with the development of the garden, a fence was a much needed item. Previously, children have no obvious way in or out, which became a bit of a health and safety issue. The new metal fence, with a gate, provides a clear area for the children starting their gardening next term. Alongside this, we are delivering cooking sessions with the Year 5’s, who have recently finished the Healthy Me programme. Now the children will get to see how food is grown from seed, learn key skills in how to maintain a garden/allotment and develop their culinary experiences in cooking it.
