In January we will be working with Danson Primary School where we will deliver our Healthy Me programme. After meeting in November, the school have confirmed that we will be working with Years 3 to 6 and also deliver a staff workshop to upskill the teachers knowledge about food. Healthy Me is a 6 session programme that looks at all aspects of the Eatwell Guide and educates children about where food comes from, what is in the foods we eat, and how to make healthy choices. We are so pleased that another school is investing into food education as it is a vital part of a child’s development in their younger years. We know that a healthy, balanced diet can help with attention in class, reduce the number of days off through ill-health and contributes towards other healthy habits.
