CPD Certification Service

We have decided to enhance our Food Changers programme by starting an application with The CPD Certification Service. The teacher training aspect of the programme includes 3-hours of virtual training and will contribute towards CPD hours and points.

The training provides consistent information that is evidence based, in line with current Government guidelines and has been scrutinised by our own dietitian, Emma and nutritionist, Grace. After the training, teachers will be able to answer those tricky questions and statements like ‘is chocolate is bad for us?’ or ‘my mum said fast food is unhealthy!’.

The training covers a range of topics including:

  • Balanced diets
  • Nutrients, vitamins and minerals
  • Unhealthy diets/behaviours
  • Free sugars
  • Portion sizes
  • Label reading
  • Embedding food into the curriculum
  • Packed lunches
  • Allergies and intolerances

This process can take up to 12 weeks so by the time the new academic year starts in September 2021, all new schools working with us will receive their accredited CPD certificates.

If your school is looking for more information about food education and in particular the Food Changers programme, get in contact with us.
