Over the last couple of months we have had productive conversations with a food sensory charity called Flavour School. The basis of this partnership is to embed their philosophy into our Food Changers programme, and over the next couple of months, we will receive some expert food sensory training that will support our resources.
Flavour School provides six cross-curricular lessons that use simple, fun sensory activities and experiments with healthy foods, to teach children about how their five senses work and generate flavour experiences. Together with the School of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Leeds, Flavour School conduct research to better understand the outcomes on children’s eating behaviour by working with primary schools in London and Leeds.
