Family Cooking Sessions At Home

Throughout August we delivered Family Cooking Sessions At Home. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we were unable to deliver these sessions in the usual place with families present. But, luckily enough, we had some to create a food bag system, which saw us make over 80 food bags each week. This way families could make the recipe in the comfort and safety of their own home.

During the first week the families made Veggie Couscous and was followed by Overnight Oats, Rainbow Salad and Fruit Kebabs. In addition to the recipes, the children received a little gift – ice lolly mould, cress seeds, reusable tea bag and reusable muffin cases definitely hit the spot to keep the children busy during their summer holidays. The total number of families that collected a food bag was just over 290, which is a massive achievement considering the circumstances of the pandemic.

We have added some of our favourite pictures to our Twitter account, so if you were one of the lucky ones to get a picture in August check them out!

Now, we look forward to October, however with the uncertainty, we made need to be creative again!
